WHAT'S IN YOUR TOILET

If you liked yesterday's toilet blog, you'll love this one.

A Brooklyn woman got the scare of her life right before dawn Monday when she spotted a 7-foot-long python peeking out of her toilet.

Nadege Brunacci, 38, was washing her hands in the bathroom of her third-floor apartment when she glanced back and saw the head of the snake coming out of her toilet. Most of its body was hidden in the pipes.

The restaurateur turned on the light and screamed for help. She then slammed down the lid and put a heavy box on top.

Her landlord and firefighters came to her aid, but it took plumbers to tear apart the downstairs neighbor's pipes to get to the snake out.

It was unclear how the serpent got into the pipes.

Brunacci now uses her daughter's training toilet ... seriously.

True story: My brother-in-law almost sat on a hissing raccoon in his toilet! Talk about the shock of hearing the hiss much less trying to escape with your pants around your ankles!

Now here's a snake:

FLAT AS A PANCAKE

She flattened it ... and almost killed herself.

A Cape May woman crashed her car to avoid hitting a turtle that was crossing the road. State Police said Saranne Goldfinger, 65, was not critically injured when her car crashed through a guardrail and tumbled down an embankment before flipping over.

The turtle, however, didn't fare as well. (sorry, I have no pictures of turtles in my photo collection).

When I took motorcycle classes, the instructor told us (as harsh as it may seem) that there are certain critters that riders shouldn't try to avoid in order to keep from losing control of the bike. He called them "squishables."

Obviously, this woman didn't know about squishables, which include reptiles/amphibians (snakes and frogs, not alligators!), squirrels and other rodents, cats and even small dogs.

Then there are those (even if you're in a car) that do not fall into the squishable category ... such as ... cows.
