LAZY DAZE
There's something about the month of August.
I always get that "life is good" feeling this time of year.
Could be because it's the heart of the summer and I love summer, no matter how hot it gets.
Or it could be because it's my birthday month, and birthdays are always fun no matter how many you survive.
Whatever, I love that slow, easy pace of summer and hanging out with those who know everything about you and love you anyway.
So, how's summer treating you?

Happy Birthday Sis! So how old, I mean young are you?? I know it's over 40 because I turn the big 40 this year!!!
I'm not telling, but I'll give you a hint ... I think I was about 19 or 20 when I took care of you and Tommy when Dad and your mom went away on vaction. Tommy was a baby.
Just FYI to readers, lil sis is from my father's second (or is it third?) family. Dad was difficult to keep up with.

Bring on the fall! Love the change of seasons. Love summer too but not the extreme heat.It seems the older I get,the lazier I get this time of year.Hanging on the beach,Sunday brunch at The Parker House.Gotta hit that lottery for a totally perfect life.

I share my Birthday with Ray Charles,Bruce Springsteen and Julio Iglesias. That would be September 23rd.

Happy Birtday Diana, You have a nice month to celebrate. My birthday is the day after Christmas and no I dont get cheated. I made it clear years ago, 2 different occassions.
As for the summer, my job involves getting the schools ready by September (markerboards, proj. screens, display cases, etc) So needless to say I have been very busy and tired.

Happy BD to you Di. I share dmc's birhtday, same year, and almost down to the minute. I love summer- no schedules ( until pop warner kicks in), a sandwich makes a fine dinner, and what about those Jersey beaches?

I LOVE summer. Even tho I'm now a sr citizen, I enjoy knowing that school is out, lakes & pools are open, the beach is waiting, the outdoor concerts are on, the crickets & katydids serenade us every night, the butterflies, bees, hummingbirds & dragonflies perform for us daily, how cool is that? Entertaining is easy, bar-b-ques are fun, & friends & family come to visit while the weather is so great. We live on our porch, nice & comfy, & away from the pesky mosquitoes at night. What's not to like?

I read the APP on-line every day and today was the first time that I read your blog.
I like your pictures and your sense of humor. I know what you are going through with cleaning people. Went through a few of them while working full-time. Now I do my own cleaning and well...absolutely hate it. ;-)
