HOT ENOUGH FOR YOU?
Heh, heh ... feels like my childhood summers in Florida out there.
Ponder this:
You know it's hot when ...
The best parking place is determined by shade instead of distance.
You learn that a seat-belt buckle makes a good branding iron!
The temperature drops below 95, and you feel a little chilly.
You discover that you can use two fingers to steer your car.
Hot water now comes out of both taps.
You discover that you can get sunburned through your car window.
You actually burn your nose putting on sunglasses that have been left in the car.
You break into a sweat when you step outside at 7:30 a.m.
You realize that asphalt has a liquid state.
You can deal with it, I know, but don't forget that your pets feel the same oppressive heat that you do.
Please remember to protect them.

you should never drive with your pet in your lap..and i hope your short hair chihuahua is wearing kids" sunscrenn (no kidding)..that breed burns in the sun and your car inside with reflect from windows enough to burn it!
Picture was taken in our driveway in the middle of winter... see, no leaves on the trees. Pinkie was basking in the warmth of the sun while sitting on Spud who was in the midst of bleeding the brakes. And good luck getting sunscreen on that dog who has to be hogtied at the vet's when they cut her nails. But, yes, you're right that driving with pets in your lap is a no-no!
I am in the freezer-but thanks for thinking about me-the pet of the year!
Stay cool
Re: Jacob Morris' comment. He is a fairly large, deceased goldfish. His pet mommie put him in the freezer (wrapped in a piece of a mink coat, no less) until she decides where she wants him buried.
Clare is not joking.
I made Jacob's mink blanket.
sounds like the heat is making you all crazy!
Hot or cold, when I see my neighbors' pets walking, then I can go for a walk too.
P.S.
I like your dog Pinkie.
your picture brings back visions of Britany Spears and her son on her lap while she drove- strap that poochie in :)
