YANKEE DOODLE POODLE
You gotta love people and their dogs.
I was e-mailed this picture from the Pasquale Family who say their 12-year-old bichon frise's dying wish is to be in the newspaper. OK, so he's not a poodle.
Well, this isn't the printed page either, but it's the best I can do for Spike who's from Chadwick Beach.
Forget about the fact that his owners spayed him with red and blue paint. What I want to know is who gave him the JetSki lessons?
And to think I got bombarded with e-mails from animal-rights people when I wrote my grandmother put peanut butter on our dog's palate and pretended like he was talking as he licked it off.

God bless the dog-maybe the paint didn't agree with him
I am one of the proud owners of Spike, and for the record- it's just magic marker! Hope everyone enjoys!
Magic markers! What a relief. He's sooooooooo cute, but get that dog a life vest, please!
dying wish , or dyeing wish?
just magic markers..they are bad for dogs..
Hi.. this is Spike. I wear a lifevest when I am on boats and waverunners. The WASHABLE magic markers are fine for me. I've been wearing marker for 12 years now, and I've never had a single problem. What's more- I love the attention. So, please, lighten up. Ruv, Spike
I agree with Spike! Give him and his owners (who I'm sure love him very much and wouldn't do anything to harm him) a dog-gone break, after all.
Rough, Rough....
I am sure if you "asked" him Spike would say, "Pleeeeze leave me alone..I am NOT a doll or an easel"!
Where else in the world do people have to time or resources to color their dog with washable markers and let him drive a jet ski? Spike looks like an astro pop. YUM!!
maybe spike will get caught in the wake and poof...his red white and blue fur and everything will disappear..forever! PETA Power my a........!
Hey concerned vet- since you are a "doctor", please tell us by what mechanism washable magic marker is harmful to a dog. We are all very curious since Spike's father is an MD and thinks you're ill-informed. Spike's not eating the markers in question. They are non-toxic. Our(non-cyber) vet says they are perfectly fine. Oh, and we just asked Spike, and he said "get a life.. or pet my belly."
