WORSHIPING FALSE IDOLS

It's a sad state of affairs when we want to know more about the nude pictures on the Internet of an American Idol hopeful than an upcoming documentary that claims to prove the existence of Jesus' tomb.

It seems the controversial film wasn't high on the list for newscasters this morning as the media preferred to lead with the continuing Antonella Barba nude scandal instead.

Those more interested in this young woman's lapse of judgment than the claim that, if proved true, would shake the foundation of Christianity, need their heads examined.

Sometimes the news judgment of some TV and radio news producers make me embarrassed to say I'm in journalism.

Check out the CNN story.

That is old news actually (the Jesus tombs, that is)..this was a BBC documentary in late 1980's and religious scholars determined at the time that the names of Jesus and Mary and the other name found in the tomb were all common names back then and no proof to Jesus Christ.James Cameron is producing a documentary, book (and prob. future movie..he was director of Titanic)..his claims of DNA proving a link are unlikely because their is no known DNA/proof that Jesus Christ existed (except in the Bible at this point)..sure , the DNA will prove that it came from 1st century because those names were common back then and of course were not the diversity of names like today ...I think this is all a publicity stunt to further James Cameron's personal gains.. As far as Antonella Barbra goes, supposedly some of the non-porno images are hers taken with friends during a wild streak and the other porno-style ones were fabricated...only she knows the answer to that..and similarly, only God knows answer to the so-called Jesus tombs (assuming one believes in that God)..

you're absolutely right about it being old news. My point is that it just ticks me off that we're so preoccupied with such insignificant crap. Same thing with Jennifer Aniston's nude pictures. It's a "who cares."

Jesus' tomb can be found in what is now known as the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem. The altar of that church now stands over the exact point where Christ was crucified.

As a mom of a 21 yr old college senior going on her last spring break this March, I have to tell you I am kind of happy these photos have gotten the press they have. (Hopefully, it's another wake up call for these young girls). She just got a very long speech about being a good girl and not taking what they think are innocent photos of each other because in today's day and age, they can appear on the internet in a second! Basically, I told her and her friends "keep your tops on".. I do feel really bad for Antonella and her parents and I hope they can get through this. It must be a living nightmare for all of them. It is a shame it has gotten so much attention.
Have a nice, safe vacation Diana!
I'm sure you'll be posting us some nice pics...

Most of the world isn't going to Heaven either, WWJD. To each his own, I suppose. Incidentally, good luck on your death day.

It appears that James Cameron ran out of steam with his Titanic exploitation. Now he turns his sights on a much more controversial topic...the search for Jesus'.
Anything for a buck,eh Cameron?
It is quite hard enough to accept the Bible's teachings solely on faith. Now here comes this Hollywood producer looking to make mega bucks off his theories.
As for Ms.Barba, those pictures are purported not to be hers.
She like Mr.Cameron has had her 15 minutes of fame. Now it's time to move on.

It certainly is nice to run into yet another theologian that can't quite draw the distinction between a comma and period.
