SHUT YOUR PIE HOLE

I made them back to back.

Tacos and chili.

These are not my usual dinners for the man, who prefers chicken, but I wanted leftovers to take to Darling Daughter. She's a little overwhelmed right now with a new baby and toddler, and needs quick and easy meals she can feed to her family.

But the man wasn't too happy with tacos and chili two nights in a row, so he squawked about not having a "decent chicken dinner."

Then I broke the news.

Both the tacos and chili were made out of chicken.

Tonight: meatloaf.

If he likes chicken that much, why doesn't he take you out to some elegant eatery, like KFC or Boston Chicken?

Hey, if he doesn't want to eat, just drop off the food on the other side of town... us journalists are poor, you know? ;)

Oh poor,poor Spud!
He's not exactly starving is he?
I am low maintenance, easy to feed.
My only requirement is that my food be hot,or at least to the warm side.Other than lima beans,I've no serious dislikes in the food area.I lean towards low fat at much as possible.Salmon, chicken, lean beef occasionally.
You make it,I'll eat it and be grateful.
Spud, there's always Boston Market for good home style food.

Now now, us girls all know that despite all the equality talk, there are still lots of men out there that feel like there should be a hot meal, that they approve of, waiting for them at the end of the day. I'm sure if you ask all men, they will say they don't care, but if you ask their wives/girlfriends, you would get a different story.

If someone cooks a hot meal for you, thank you is the only appropriate response. Especially if both adults in the household work full time. Sorry "Spud" - I love ya but if you don't like the meal then you should be cooking it yourself.

Very interesting, from experience with male rabbits(they eat the babies when they are born) due to lack of attention from the mommy rabbit towards the daddy rabbit)- you all missed the point with 'Spud'- he just wants a little more attention-it has nothing to do with chicken, hot or cold taco, chilli or any food-it has to do with attention-(too many little chances going on in your life) and he feels left out-I think-Take 'Spud' out for a day just made for him and life will be a 'bed of wine and roses'
