SAVOR THE MOMENT

I have 10 days off starting tomorrow!

It's funny how great you feel the day before you go on vacation.

Actually, my mind says I'm already gone.

Oh, I still do my work in a drone-like fashion, but I'm thinking about all the things I want to do when I'm off. Things that most likely will never get done.

Hopefully, little Parker will come home from the hospital, and then there's all that clothes shopping I have to do for an upcoming wedding and my man's reunion.

God knows, I gotta look good for that least I don't measure up to his old high school girlfriends.

Ah, who cares ... right now I just want to savor the moment of looking forward to
time off. Stay tuned for fun blogs!

Hi Diana,
So happy to see Baby Parker's pic, he's beautiful! God Bless him, his mom, & the whole family. I'm sure he'll grow up to be a big, strong, healthy, handsome man! I'm looking forward to more pix when he comes home,& some of Chloe, too.
Keeping you all in my prayers!
Dee

Enjoy the vacation! You've certainly earned it.How difficult is the creative process for you Diana? Do the words flow easily from brain to qwerty board?
I was always curious about those that can write well.
Do you sequester yourself away in that cubicle and tune out the world? What is the percentage of perspiration to inspiration when writing for a newspaper?
Anyway, kick back and enjoy a Merlot or four this weekend.
I hoist mine to toast You,Darling Daughter and Parker.
Salud,Pete

Most of the time writing is like breathing for me. My imagination is very active and there are a lot of subjects that never make the page because I think of them while I'm driving or nowhere near a computer. Then I forget them. Usually, I write Saturday morning for column. Blogs are done early as possible every morning. The rest of the day is spent editing others work or trying to squeeze in some photography (my first love) on the weekends.

I'm very lucky to have a job that I like, so very little perspiration is required.

Enjoy yourself on vacation. I love Parker's picture. My granddaughter, 2 weeks old now, has her pictures on the web too. For a baby who came 3 weeks early, she is beautiful and frisky , as Parker will be.
Again, God bless all of you!

Enjoy your time off. I'm back, and returned to deal with three non-critical voicemails, 47 non-critical emails, two "ohmigod" realizations on what I forgot to do, questions on a project and 4 p.m. questions when I was leaving at 5 for a piece running the next day. Oh, yeah, I have a meeting up in corporate tomorrow.

*sigh* The good part is, I still have five days of vacation to schedule.
