HERE COMES THE PRIEST

This ought to raise a few eyebrows.

Former Gov. McGreevey wants to become an Episcopalian priest. Then again, maybe this news isn't all that shocking considering the "middle way" views of that particular church.

God knows, everyone needs a place to worship and feel accepted. I always felt comfortable as a southern Baptist, for Christ sake (I say that lovingly, no blasphemy here)!

And I don't have anything against the gay community because my uncle was gay. He, unfortunately, stayed in the closet until he died. He, too, was a practicing Baptist.

As a teacher, he taught me how to appreciate books, art and music, and was more of a father to me than his brother.

Still, I feel a bit conflicted about an openly gay man going into the priesthood.

I guess we don't realize what hypocrites we really are at times.

P.S. My uncle collected figurines like these Royal Doulton's. He thought they were beautiful. My father, who inherited them when his brother died, distributed the part of his collection he couldn't pawn or sell to my sisters and me. Now, we have the expensive dust catchers.

When I combine the strange behavior of Jim McGreevey as reported in the press, with the strange behavior reported by Dina Matos McGreevey, I conclude that he is in serious need of a higly qualified shrink.

BTW, it is far better for an openly gay man to go into the Episcopalian priesthood, than for a closeted pedophile to go into the Catholic priesthood.

Those statues are really queer! I mean, how gay can you get? Your uncle couldn't have been to deep in the closet if he was not married and collected those things. I'll bet he talked with a lisp and threw a ball like a girl. How fabulous diversity is!

But an openly gay, adulterous man with no shame going into the Episcopalian priesthood? There's no 'better' here, and no 'worse'. Just evil.

actually, my uncle was big handsome guy who women fell all over. He just loved beautiful things. He painted, played the piano and crocheted, believe it or not! We were always in awe of the lovely doilies he could make. The family knew he was gay, and I have to say he was a wonderful, kind, thoughtful man. He never let his lifestyle affect us. He was just a fun uncle.

My straight father, on the other hand, was womanizer who married five times and took no interest in his children other than to criticize us when he happened to be around.

You tell me who left the most scars.

I am Episcopalian but would not want McGreevey as my parish priest -solely because he has no character or ethics -(not because he is gay). I would not want to receive Communion from him either because who knows where those hands have been lately . (He confessed in his book to secret gay liaisons at NJ rest stops..who knows if that is still the case?).To blogger Menuval, gay and pedophilia are not the same thing... Dina Matos McGreevey believes he is bisexual, not just gay, because he married women twice and fathered children with them twice before she was aware of his sexual orientation. She says it is ludicrous for her ex to tell the world that she knew of his gay orientation pre-marriage and married him and had his child in spite of those claims. What woman would knowingly do that? McDreamy or McSteamy he is not..more like McGrubby, McGreedy or McDeceivy...

APPARENTLY GOV. MCGREEVEY NEVER READ THE BIBLE WHERE IT STATES "MEN WHO LIE DOWN WITH MEN WITH NEVER SEE THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN" (THAT GOES FOR WOMEN AS WELL).

Hey, proofreader, how about "McSicky"?

If gay and pedophilia are not the same, which one would you prefer for a husband?

neither..I am straight... but to play along with your "what if" game -gay, because to be gay, doesn't necessarily mean they molest small children (boys), just have sex (consenting) with another man..McSicky is not a gay person;it is the pedophile and you for judging another human being's sexual preference with your own bigoted, narrrow views...

Hey, Proofreader, tell me what you think about NAMBLA (North American Man/Boy Love Association). Do you respect their sexual preferences, too?

Or are you just as bigoted, narrow, and hypocritical as the rest?

So,when does this McGreevey nonsense go away? Haven't they had their 15 minutes of fame yet?
Is the next public, media reported event in this saga Dina Matos' move? What will she do now that Jimmy Mc. is on his way to the papacy? Will she take a high profile lover? Will she move to her native Portugal?
Stay tuned readers....they ain't done yet.

menuval, this is my last response to you because you are obviously an irrational man..of coures NAMBLA is disgusting, immoral and illegal..I am not saying I respect pedophilia as a sexual preference so do not imply that I respect NAMBLA either..I respect gay sexual preferences as a choice because it is not illegal or immoral like pedophilia...and NAMBLA members are pedophiles hiding behind their organization name to somehow justify their perverse beliefs..I told you before, gay and pedophilia are two different things..being gay is not criminal and pedophilia is - capiche? just like I do not respect other sicko sexual behaviors like snuff films because they are criminal also ...Okay, now you can start attacking another blogger..I am not taking your bait... I hear from another blogger that you were ignored and ridiculed out of Riley's blog..go take your bullying ways and go home if you can't play nice here...

did the Bible mention that any of Jesus' disciples were married? I mean, there must have been some pretty long nights out there in the desert with a bunch on young men, sitting by the fire, looking at the stars...

Okay, that last thing said was not called for. Peter (apostle) was married because he had a mother in law...we've become really sick when we can infuse a sex scenario into every aspect of life, just because.

According to the Bible, practicing gayness is both illegal and immoral.

Very artistic collection, it makes sense, there are always four sides to every story not just two

Enjoy the art you received and don't read too much into it-life is simple-people make it difficult
