Say, what?

Yesterday was Holocaust Remembrance Day.

Jewish congregations across the country marked the day with prayer and song in remembrance of those who lost their lives at the hands of the Nazis.

Yet, despite the documented atrocities that occurred more than 60 years ago, there
are some who claim The Holocaust never happened.

In 2005, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad described it as "a myth", and
even the UK this month removed lessons about The Holocaust from its school curriculum because it offended the Muslim population.

This propaganda campaign, known as Holocaust "revisionism," is spreading, and it's reprehensible.

Makes one wonder Where have all the flowers gone?

The whole world is in denial not only about the evil that existed but the evil that still exists today-perhaps if these same people put all that denial energy into making the world a better, healthier, peaceful, place there would not be anything bad to deny in the future!

In yesterday's Press there was an article about a Holocaust survivor who was telling his story. He related an incident he witnessed where all the adult Jews of a town were shot and buried in an open pit. The children were thrown into the pit while still alive. He mentioned that one three-year old little boy was asking "Why are you throwing sand in my eyes", as they covered him with dirt.

As a grandparent of small children, the story ripped my heart out.
