IN THE WEEDS

I'm having flashbacks.

When I was a waitress putting myself through college years ago, we used to say we were "in the weeds" when we got behind in our work.

Today, I'm there again trying to figure out several new computer programs to be able to perform some of the duties as the local microsites news editor.

I've never worked on a Mac before, so I'm a little lost, even with the simplest functions.

I know I'll muddle through with constant use, but until then, I'll be like my grandmother said she was while cooking.

I'm not a fast cook or a slow cook ... just a half-fast cook.

You are so lucky to have a MAC-I loved my aquamarine one so much that when I had to leave her I wrote her a poem!!! Of course, at times she would say-'your fault' in kind of a foreign accent but it meant I was stupid according to her!!! She was much nicer to me than this 'Lolita' computer I have now - so stay happy-MAC will come through for you!

I just got my Dell PC back. The hard drive fried after only 5 years! No virus,it just died! My future son loves his Mac. Damn thing looks like a toy. Funny little icons on the screen too.
Well,my old faithful Dell now has a 250 Gb hard drive with 512 of RAM. Next I'll change the music card and add some new 2.0 USB's.
Ah technology,isn't it great?

I just give away the old computer (usually every 2 years to one of the kids) and buy a new computer...saves me time trying to get the upgrades to be compatible with my older games who won't play nice with the upgrades. I now have top-of-the-line desktop (a person I know thinks it's possessed), laptop, 4 printers, and all sorts of accessories going at the moment. It's always been HP all the way for me! They seem to like me. Maybe because I can handle possession. :)

Macs are easier to use and learn on. Just remember the Power Key is near the space bar on the left. It looks like an Apple. If you use MS Office the program is the same except for the Power Key. I began on Apples in 82 and still have an iMac for my use. My job requires both Mac and PC so I have to know both. My wife uses a PC for her work. Any questions just email me at abeyer65@optonline.net.
I will try to answer them ASAP.

Hi Diana,

You can't fool me. I know that's a monarch butterfly caterpiller and you're just hoping for Summer.

I drew that picture in the early '90s. I don't know what kind of caterpiller it was, but I know it was on a tomato plant.
