Say, what?

Goodbye vacation, hello depression.

Why is it when a vacation ends, the moody blues set in? Same thing happens on Sunday nights and during the twilight of summer.

Just trying to get up today was a chore much less getting back into the work routine.

But here I am.

Now, it's time to switch gears and start looking forward to the upcoming holidays.

Don't complain. It could be much worse. You could be out of work --then trying to get up every day is a chore.

Darkness falls so much earlier now.A definite chill inhabits the air.Soon, wood smoke will curl from blackened chimneys.
It seems we mourn the passing of old friend summer, sooner every year.It was my 52nd summer.I shall miss it with more solemnity than the previous 51.How I have come to hate the passing of summer, more now as I age.
Yellow school buses will soon crawl along, stopping what seems like every ten feet, preventing our getting anywhere on time. How I have come to dread the end of summer. If this past weekend's weather is a portend of things to come....get ready to rue the winter.
Stay warm and dry and enjoy the changing of seasons as best you can.

Welcome back! I love this picture you posted... The vibrant blue is incredible!!! I see lots of butterflies in my yard, too. In fact, despite the fact I have 2 German shepherds our yard is now a certified Wildlife Habitat (WWF).

The cycles of life and nature, the seasons...we are but a tiny piece in the universe..
It's amazing what I can do after 2 cups of coffee this early on a Tuesday morning!
Thoughts of Parker are never far...
