Say, what?

Monday, May 21, 2007

The stoning death of a 17-year-old Iraqi girl for being seen with a man of a different religion and not being married was senseless and tragic.

Sadly, "honor killing" is a common occurrence there.

And so, these are the people of this barbaric country that we are sending our soldiers to die for.

As blogger Pete pointed out: Is this anything that resembles a civilized society?

Warning: This YouTube video of the girl's death captured by a bystander on a cell phone contains graphic violence.

The cost of Freedom is too high a price for The United States to pay for people who do not appreciate it.It will likely take two generations in Iraq before anything remotely resembling Democracy will begin to happen.
The recent stoning death as presented on "You Tube" proves we are attempting to bring forth Democracy on the "tip of the bayonet".
With no WMD's found and Saddamm now dead; it's time to
bring the troops home and end this
Let's not make this our grandchildrens' war.

The trouble with you and Pete is that you have no respect for foreign cultures which differ from your own.

In some Eastern cultures they don't eat meat. In some cultures they mutilate young women by female circumcision. In some cultures they stone people because they commit immoral sins.

In our culure we practice capital punishment although we sometimes find out later through DNA evidence that the person was innocent.

If the Japanese like to throw up babies in the air and catch them on bayonets, then you should not condemn them just because their culture is a little different from yours.

Job,no one wants to engage in a battle of wits with the unarmed.
Your view point reflect a third grade education at best.
Just many Budweisers did it take before you became an expert on foreign cultures?

Most civilized cultures, which by the way out number the uncivilized cultures abhor the barbaric practices that you referenced.
Female circumsion, as performed in some African countries is rapidly being denounced throughout the world as is stoning.
Perhaps Job,you should reserve your blogging for issues on cute puppy dogs.

This is what happens when men are allowed to make all the rules. Why aren't there any cultures where men are stoned to death by women when they do something considered wrong by society? Probably because women are really the smarter ones. Let's send Hillary Clinton over there to straighten this mess out. She will kick some male Iraqi @$$ and start a feminist revolution. I bet the women would know how to get along.

I wish Hillary (and Bill) would both go to Iraq and get stoned to death..he should at least have his "weapon of mass destruction"..his penis lopped off for all his philandering, evil ways...
