A CYNICAL LOOK AT THE DAILY GRIND

NO WHINE BEFORE ITS TIME

A Missouri clergyman is on a quest to make the world a better place.

He's started a campaign to get his flock to look on the brighter side of life by challenging them not to complain for 21 days straight.

Guess what? It's not as easy to do as it sounds.

Once someone takes the challenge - if they whine about anything - they have to start the 21-day, no-gripe pledge over. As of Monday, only 21 church members have made it.

The Rev. Will Bowen said he even broke his purple plastic bracelet (worn as a symbol for the challenge) three times over the four months that it took him to succeed.

Check out Bowen's revolution. It seems it's taking the country by storm.

Sounds like a good idea, but I bet wearing that plastic bracelet is annoying.

(Gee, I think I might have made it 21 minutes!)

It seems a worth while and well intentioned goal.
Things are so very different in the world today...war on terrorism, war on our sensibilities with our moral fabric under attack with the "new morality" where it is ok for men to marry men, woman to marry women.Odd,them changes we're all seeing in the world today.
OK,I've complained enough.
Three cheers for the Rev. and his flock!

I ordered some for myself and co-workers, lets see how this goes over when they arrive. I am sick and tired of the whining and complaining at work and home etc. The entire world should give it a shot.

just wear the bracelet (even if you do break the rules) just to annoy your co-workers with your seemingly pious attitude..there goes the suggestion box at the office...I guess whomever places suggestions into the box, must also drop their purple bracelets in at same time...I like the multi-color bracelet that says: I support everything..enough already with the yellow, red, pink, purple bracelets, they're like bumper stickers for your body..who really cares?

Gee, and I thought people were wearing those purple bracelets to announce that they were gay.

so does that mean that a gay griper would wear two purple bracelets?

I would rather wear a pink bracelet-does that mean I have to start the 21 days over or do 21 months!!
