ROUND ONE
Dr. Son says I should write blogs that are more controversial.
I say I would if I had more ideas.
He's a big picture guy ... I'm not.
The big picture sometimes is too much to grasp, so I climb into the smaller world around me and stay there.
But I'm willing to try a few controversial subjects. E-mail me at dianaf@app.com with your ideas and let's see what we can do.
In the meantime, I'll just continue to report my frog's-eye view of the world.

Diana,
Dr. Son is beginning to think like an experienced doctor -- putting main emphasis on the bottom line. If your goal is to generate comments, then write controversial stuff. If your goal is to write good stuff, then let your instinct be your guide. Thus far your instinct has been serving you very well.

There is plenty of controversy in the media already. I like coming to a site and feel like I am conversing with old friends about everyday issues. Please, no more drama in my life.
That's what all the cable news shows are for..with all their boring,self-absorbed pundits and "expert" panelists.Your column is aptly named "Slice of Life" and that's what we readers and bloggers enjoy. The biggest controversy you've sparked lately is whether to squeegee your shroud of tern from your window or to keep it enshrined for the ages. (By the way, have you removed your window and what is the asking price on e-bay?).
Here's a follow-up controversial topic: Do you use Windex or enviro-friendly cleaner to remove your shroud? Also, for the PETA fanatics, what are you doing with all those dead birds? Which reminds me, it's time for lunch!
