AT ODDS WITH THE WORLD

Sometimes friends and lovers just don't see eye to eye.

My man and I were perusing eBay to try and find an ottoman that would match an antique chair I had reupholstered.

Now, I'm a far cry from being an expert on period antiques, but I do know that the two chairs and sofa I just had recovered aren't vintage modern cubist Chinese, which caught the eye of Spud.

He liked the sturdy, geometric manly look of one piece, and soon (in our minds' eye) we were trying to tie the hand-carved, elegant Victorian set in with the square block Chinese piece.

Spud soon grasped the point of my furrowed brow and the "you're in another world, honey" glance.

never have an infant at eye-level with any dog, no matter how gentle you think dog is or even if people around, takes one quick snap for serious injury. Dogs esp. go for babies' toys and pacifiers, even if playfully, when the dog goes for the pacifier, baby's face usually goes with it!

don't worry vet, like the croc hunter, I would never put my grandchild in harm's way. But I understand your point and never would let any animal I didn't know get that close.

Hey, concerned vet was right. Chloe got a nip from my Spike (also a permpup). He got her good right under the eye with his teeth. Luckily, it only left two scrapes. You wouldn't think a dog with the mouth the size of a walnut would do harm but it did. BAD SPIKEY!! Actually, bad Chloe because she was messing with him and he warned her and bad mommy for not stopping Chloe.
