Taken from the theme song to the Showtime series ""Weeds,'' those lyrics got me thinking ... and that could be dangerous.
I've been trying to let my hair grow.
Now, at my age I really should just cut it off and be done with it, but there is this image in my brain that women with long hair are younger-looking and more attractive.
So where did I get such an idea?
It couldn't possibly be from all the images of beautiful supermodels walking around in clothes that look like underwear with their back-lighted hair blowing all around their heads, could it?
And the people in the boxes all look just the same.

hmmm I've been letting my hair grow also, but not because of those model pictures. I just haven't had the time or energy to get it cut! Long hair is easy to throw up into a clip and not have to style it. Then on the other hand, short hair is so easy because you don't have to take the time to throw it up into a clip. The only other solution is like the picture...no hair. :)
well i think we just need to think of the older days when men would wear those horrible gray wigs. why would someone try to portray that they are older unless there are trying to buy beer. men have just realized earlier that long hair is a mess and serves us no purpose. we are taught to look clean and simple, where as a women should be more elegant. some women do look more attractive with short hair but for the most part women with long hair and more elegant and do look younger. and if long hair is not an option than good thing for medical advances such as rogain for women.
At least thinning hair is not bugging you Diana!
wooohoooo! Today must be long hair day! It was the first time I could pull my hair back into a 'pony tail'...looked more like a rabbit tail to me. I may end up using a clip afterall...unless I happen to change my mind...which has been known to happen very frequently. :)
Cannot wait to be able to put a barrett or ponytail in my little girl's hair. She is 21 months and everyone thinks she is a boy! I bet that my son (pregnant with him now) comes out with a mop on his head!!! Life is just not cooperative sometimes. Oh well, she is still a beauty to me, just like her nana! Hugs and kisses....guess who...
