SELLING ICE TO ESKIMOS
This week's temperatures are predicted to be somewhere in the high '50s to mid '60s here at the Shore.
Come on all you Northerners ... it's January.
Is there ANYONE out there who misses all that snow?
Photo of the Fairbanks Ice Festival was sent in by blogger Tom of Brick. If you want to see more outstanding photos of the festival, e-mail me at dianaf@app.com and I will forward you a copy.

Great photo Tom! Wow! I miss the light snow, where we are still able to drive and the trees look pretty. I dont drive if we get more than 2", and than I stay home from work and take on a project or cook. So I do miss it a bit.
Careful what you wish for..Margaret's right..Feb. and Mar. still ahead..can anyone spell nor'easter?
Forget all that snow. I'm for global warming.
Thank you, Tom of Brick, for this great photo!
Sculpture's great but I'll take the 50 degree weather.
This is an interesting piece of photography, Diana. But the best picture you ever published was the one in this week's column that was the Christmas card from your sister down south.
The column was mostly about the pros and cons of guns. And that debate will go on for centuries.
But your photo had me laughing for the 8 days of Christmas, and deserves a double Nobel prize for Photography and Christmas Cardery.

Firearms are used far more often for defensive purposes than they are ever used in the commission of crimes.
Gun Cite Facts
Oh boy, the statistics and facts are being fired about (no pun intended). Does anyone have statistics and facts about ice sculptures?? Or global warming, perhaps? How about hot cocoa; that would be good.

If you're interested in having your comments about gun control printed in Kickin' Back with next week's column, email me at dianaf@app.com and include your full name and hometown.
Sounds like a LOADED column this week Diana. When it gets like this its such a BLAST. Choose your ammunition.
